About
The original meaning of the swahili word safari was just “long journey”, but since the late 19th century its conventional definition matches Wikipedia’s: “an overland journey, usually a trip by tourists to Africa“.
It used to be a big-game hunt trip, but nowadays it’s more common to join a photography safari.
There are several national parks and reserves full of animals throughout the black continent, but most of tourists choose Kenya, Tanzania, South Africa or Namibia as their destination for wildlife.
Safari blog will try to collect all the information around this kind of touristic trips in order to be helpful both for adventure lovers as for those who join a safari for the first time.
